We leave traces of ourselves everywhere we go. We can't help ourselves. We build and destroy layering over one society to impose another. Cave men marked their walls, graffiti artists make their mark too. One mark covered by another mark, Xed out of existence until time and weathering peels the layers to reveal the remains. Undiscovered places and people tell stories about who was there, what they did, and how they lived.
Nature always prevails. Whatever man builds, is destroyed by nature in a matter of minutes. Hurricanes, rains, fires, earthquakes and storms are just a few of the forces that are huge destroyers of what man makes. On the small scale, concrete sidewalks crack by the forces of nature daily. But man is just as powerful a destroyer. Our technotrash is filling up the world. What will that look like? It cannot be absorbed by the earth. What will our place on this earth?
