Shifting Planes explores the tension between rigid structure and fluid motion. Utilizing hand-woven, mosaic-like grids, this series deconstructs traditional two-dimensional surfaces into dynamic, three-dimensional sculptural reliefs. Linear patterns bend, twist, and overlap to challenge ordinary perspective.
The artwork mimics the constant transformation of our built and natural environments. By manipulating stable geometric forms into undulating waves, Shifting Planes captures a state of permanent transition. Fixed horizons collapse and re-form, inviting viewers to find balance within a changing landscape.
